Armstrong-Whitworth FK8 B4187 was being utilised for Reconnaissance (near Baizieux)  on 13th August 1918

Its crew comprised:

The RFC Casualty Report shows “Machine left aerodrome at 1.15pm and was forced to land owing to engine trouble and upon landing undercarriage was torn away by barbed wire causing wreck of machine; personnel OK”

EA Shearing was subsequently admitted to hospital (15th August) and ceased to be attached to the squadron
